Chinese New Year Celebrations

Lahaina Towne welcomes the Chinese New Year with exciting lion dances, fireworks, martial arts and a street festival including Chinese martial arts, firecrackers, ethnic food and activities.


Lahaina Whale and Ocean Arts Festival

West Maui celebrates the annual migration of Pacific Humpback whales to Hawaiian waters with the Lahaina Whale and Ocean Arts Festival featuring ocean arts, crafts and live music.


Maui Onion Festival

The Maui Onion Festival is a signature event at Whalers Village showcasing the delicious Maui Onion. Believed by many to be the sweetest onions in the world, these glorious bulbs are the star of this annual festival.


King Kamehameha Day Parade & Ho'olaule'a

A colorful floral parade through Lahaina Town features Pa'u riders on horses decorated with exotic Island flowers representing each major island. The community parade includes marching bands, floats and more, all honoring King Kamehameha the Great’s families. An awards ceremony and arts festival take place at Banyan Tree Park with Island food and crafts, pa'u dressing and riding demonstrations, plus Hawaiian entertainment.


4th of July Fireworks Celebration

Front Street takes on a festive air for the Island's only community firework display, music at the Lahaina Public Library lawn and keiki games at Campbell Park. Fireworks can be viewed from many oceanfront restaurants. Front Street is closed to traffic during the display. 


He U'i Cultural Arts Festival

Celebrate with a multi-cultural arts festival at the Hui Noeau Visual Arts Center, located in Banyan Tree Park. A gathering of artists and crafters display, sell, and demonstrate cultural arts and crafts; featuring live Hawaiian music and cultural talks by community members.


A Taste of Lahaina and the Best of Island Music

Maui County's largest culinary festival attracts thousands to enjoy fine food, cooking demonstrations as well as beer and wine. Dozens of restaurant booths offer samples of their cuisine, it's easy to try all your favorite restaurants as well as some new ones. Relax and enjoy live music ranging from reggae to rock to Hawaiian.


Halloween on Front Street in Lahaina

Also called "The Mardi-Gras of the Pacific”, Lahaina is famous for having the biggest Halloween celebration in Hawaii with thousands of people in costumes who flock to Front Street for the costume contest, children's costume parade, food, activity booths and music in the streets.


Holiday Lighting of the Banyan Tree

The Banyan Tree is lit up with thousands of Christmas lights for the holiday season. Santa Claus makes an appearance - Island-style and community choirs sing Christmas carols. See hula performances, enjoy the holiday craft fair and Hawaiian music, take a picture with a Hawaiian snowman and participate in cookie decorating workshops.
